Operate vessel-side and shore-based cranes during active discharge operations. You'll work alongside our Hold Leads and Supervisors to execute safe, efficient cargo discharge — supersacks, bulk, break bulk, and specialty cargo across Gulf Coast ports. Experience with marine cranes, rough terrain cranes, or harbor cranes is a plus. GCS invests in operator development and runs a high-performance, technology-enabled operation.
Lead a crew through vessel discharge operations from start to finish. Supervisors at GCS are responsible for safety compliance, crew coordination, production targets, and real-time reporting through the Knomatic platform. You'll be the boots-on-the-ground leader ensuring every shift runs safely and on plan. Prior stevedoring or port operations supervisory experience strongly preferred.
Operate forklifts, front-end loaders, reach stackers, and other port equipment during cargo discharge and staging operations. Equipment Operators are a critical part of every GCS crew — keeping cargo moving from vessel to final destination safely and efficiently. Experience operating heavy port or industrial equipment is required.
Work as part of a GCS crew on active vessel discharge operations. Labor Hands perform physical cargo handling, rigging support, vessel hold work, and staging under the direction of Hold Leads and Supervisors. This is an entry-level path into port operations with real opportunities to advance into equipment operation and supervision roles. No prior stevedoring experience required — we train our people.
